§ 13. Effective date.

This act shall take effect only upon its approval by a majority vote of those qualified electors residing within the proposed corporate limits of the proposed City of Marathon, as described in section 10, voting in a referendum election to be called by the Monroe County Commission and to be held on November 2, 1999, in accordance with the provisions of law relating to elections currently in force, except this section shall take effect upon becoming a law.
